Digital Storytelling Project with Mentors of Minorities
In the fall of 2014, I had the pleasure of working with Mentors of Minorities in Education, a non-profit in Washington, DC . I was first introduced to the organization while completing a community storytelling project with parents of children attending the after-school learning program. Immersed in enriching children through the art of storying, participants created short autobiographical films about key moments in their lives

During the summer of 2015, Mentors of Minorities
Youth Ambassador program partnered with the Humanities Council of Washington, DC's Soul of the City Program. As the Teaching Artist, I had the opportunity to conduct a digital story video project as a continuation of the Fall 2014 partnership with American University's Community Voices Project.
The Youth Ambassadors were tasked with developing their own digital stories, highlighting a transformative turning point in their lives. The Youth participated in activities such as narrative composition, voice recording, photography, video production and video editing. Take a look a few of the amazing stories below!
